Belonging to a very humble family, hailing from Shivamogga district in Karnataka, Dr. A Srinivas IPS is the first in his family to earn an MBBS degree and the first candidate from the Katik community in south India to pass the prestigious UPSC exam with 149th rank.
A doctor turned IPS officer, his knowledge in the medical field has aided him in leading a successful career in the civil service department. He is an ardent believer of the quote said by Martin H. Fischer: “Observation, Reason, Human Understanding, Courage; these make the physician.” He has facilitated medical camps for police officers in Sabarimala and also has taken initiative in materialising various ways to reduce mental stress of police officers during the Covid 19 crisis and Q Factory as a firm has a similar focus on projecting quizzing as a stress buster to its audience. When asked about his decision of switching professions, he said: his experience as a doctor has definitely helped him in understanding the problems of people but it’s through his present career he was able to bring changes right from the grassroot level. For him, quizzing is a means to educate and entertain people simultaneously and also is an ideal game that appeals to people who enjoy novelty .
Current scenario poses various challenges in the form of stress and mental depression amongst kids and it’s quizzing that could bypass these challenges of 21th century.
